SIT Design presents upcoming trends
“New Interior Direction”: that’s the name of the event staged for SIT Design, a Swiss company based in Lugano, whose business involves processes for the design, production and installation of integrated systems for furniture. The event was based on a fundamental internal element on which every aspect was modelled: the location. Indeed, the company showroom in Lugano hosted the evening: “playing at home”, so that the almost 50 guests could get an even better understanding of the brand’s value. In a certain sense, being exposed to a company’s environment helps disseminate its identity. Where possible, bringing people to the workplace can represent an irrefutable added value. Naturally, friendly walls alone are not enough, something else is needed. In this case, “that something else” bore the name of a qualified Interior Design lecturer from the Marangoni Institute, one of the best known organisations internationally in terms of fashion and design. Holding a special class for the guests of the event was an opportunity to explain the new concepts of living, new material forms and trends of the upcoming year.
After all, design never stands still and needs to look towards the future. Indeed, in addition to giving operators in the sector a chance to do some networking, the event also had the aim of unveiling what next season holds, as well as making people think: ideas, attitudes, inclinations.
A day that could be defined educational, but which also had a more worldly aspect. Excellent music, thanks to a live performance by a singer with a unique voice, cocktails and some finger food. Talking among colleagues about the evolution of design is undoubtedly more enjoyable while holding a glass.
BRIEF: A corporate event aimed at networking by analysing trends and the direction of design in the upcoming year. That’s because in order to promote a brand you also need to be able to provide the knowledge you possess of the sector in which you operate.
CHALLENGE: This time, the main challenge was to be able to organise the event… in just 48 hours! Furthermore, another must was the need to convey the values of the corporate brand as much as possible, without talking about the brand itself, but more generally about design trends. All while entertaining the guests in style.
